LSR CPAP Face Mask Mold Process: Plastic PC Gasket and LSR Cushion Overmolding

The mold process involves a two-step approach for overmolding a Plastic PC gasket and LSR cushion. Initially, a finished plastic piece is positioned within the mold cavity of a Liquid Silicone Injection mold. Subsequently, Liquid Silicone Rubber Material is directly overmolded onto the part. To ensure a robust bond, it’s essential to apply bonding adhesive or glue on the plastic PC components before initiating the overmolding process.
